Ink
Van Dieman’s is a family business located in Tasmania. Their inks are mainly inspired by the nature and beauty of their surroundings.
Native Cornflower is part of Van Dieman’s Tassie Seasons series, inspired by the colours of each Tasmania’s seasons. This is one of the colours of spring. The ink is a medium blue colour with a wet flow. I find it easy to clean the ink out of the pen.
I wasn’t expecting the colour because my impression is that cornflower blue has a slight tinge of purple. But I do like this shade of blue so no complaints here.
On Muji Planting Tree paper, there is very little shading, no sheen, a lot of feathering and some bleedthrough.
