Diamine Writer’s Blood on Clairefontaine Triomphe

Ink

The ink is a dark maroon colour with a wet flow. This ink was created for r/fountainpens on Reddit. When the ink launched, it created quite a buzz and didn’t take long to sell out on store shelves. Perhaps because fountain pen users are all writers in some form, the name resonated with many people.

As with any trending product, there were some who loved it and some who thought it wasn’t worth the hype. I thought this was a lovely ink, but it wasn’t in the “omg must buy” category for me. When I did the writing samples, the colour reminded me more of prune juice.

On Clairefontaine paper,

  • Shading: Little
  • Sheen: Nil
  • Feathering: Little
  • Bleedthrough: Some
Writing Sample

This was written with a TWSBI ECO-T medium nib.
