Cult Pens Michael on Tsubame

Ink

Michael is a dark blue ink made by Diamine exclusively for Cult Pens. In smaller 30ml and 12ml bottles, it is called Little Micky. It was one of the three inks launched in May 2021 that were named after Cult Pens’ three longest-serving staff. You can read more about Michael (the human being) on Cult Pens blog.

The colour is described as a deep dark ocean blue on Cult Pens website. I find the ink leans a bit purple, probably due to the sheen. This ink has a wet flow.

This ink left a very faint line of colour residue in the pen barrel, easily removed using a pen flush.

On Tsubame’s Fools paper,

  • Shading: Nil
  • Sheen: Yes
  • Feathering: Nil
  • Bleedthrough: Nil
