Krishna Mellow Blue on Midori MD

Ink

Mellow Blue is a confusing ink. The ink colour was so different from the box label that I thought I had the wrong ink. On the label it showed a blue ink, but when I wrote with it, the words are a blueish purple. On some papers and in certain light, it may look more blurple but still more purple than blue.

The box and bottle were still sealed but the person who sold me the ink did say that it was an old ink. Perhaps the dye broke down due to age?

This ink has an average flow. It left a stain on the barrel so best to avoid using it with demonstrator pens.

On Midori MD paper,

  • Shading: Yes
  • Sheen:Nil
  • Feathering: Nil
  • Bleedthrough: Nil
