Monteverde Fireopal is a fiery orange. The ink has an average flow. At first glance, it looks similar to Vinta Terracotta, but on closer inspection, there are differences in the shade and saturation. The colour makes me think of a fiery sunset.

Monteverde Sapphire is a vibrant blue. It shades beautifully and has a wet flow. There is the tiniest bit of sheen in the darker areas where the ink had pooled, it is not obvious unless you are looking really hard.

Monteverde Garnet is a lovely magenta with some shading. Like the rest of the Monteverde inks I’ve written with, it flows smoothly and I didn’t experience any problems with the ink.
Paper
Traveler’s Company notebooks uses the same MD paper as Midori notebooks. The two notebooks perform the same when using fountain pens so why am I doing another writing sample on the same paper? Because Midori MD notebooks uses cream-coloured paper and Traveler’s Company ruled notebook uses white-coloured paper. I feel that the colour of the paper also affects how the ink looks, and hence this post.

On this paper, there is a bit of bleed through at the ends of the letters where the ink had pooled. I didn’t noticed any feathering.
Paper
WORLD CRAFT is a Japanese brand. I am using the Freiheit Freestyle Grid Notepad. WORLD CRAFT also makes this paper in a notebook format.
It is 21cm x 12.8cm, which makes it the same height as A5 but thinner. The page is marked on front and blank on the back. The front of the page is divided into 5mm grid made up of brown dots. Two thin brown lines, one vertical and one horizontal, divide the page in the middle.

Paper
I managed to get a LEUCHTTURM1917 planner for a cheap price at the end of the year when shops are clearing the unsold 2020 planners. It used the same 80gsm paper found in LEUCHTTURM1917 notebooks so I decided to use it for writing samples.
